Companies House tells you about the entity: filings, officers, registered office, and corporate history. HM Land Registry tells you about the land or title. For due diligence, neither source replaces the other.
Use them together
- Use Companies House to confirm the exact entity and its number.
- Use CCOD search to screen whether that entity appears as a corporate owner.
- Escalate to title material where you need formal certainty on the legal estate.
